Not too much longer to go. My due date is Jan. 18th. Which means about 2 and half weeks left.

We’ve picked out a boys name and a girls name, so there are no worries there. I’m planning to pack a bag for the hospital this weekend. I have my next Dr. appointment on Thursday of next week. He’ll check my cervix at that point. Hopefully, it will show some progress.

I saw a Physician’s Assistant yesterday as my normal doc was away on holiday. The PA didn’t seem to think that the baby was engaged yet. She said it didn’t feel hard enough down toward my pelivic region to indicate that the baby had lowered itself, although both Josh and my mother-in-law thought that I looked like I had dropped somewhat. I don’t think I have dropped.

I’ve been battling a few different bugs this week, not sure why they all hit at once, but I’m finally starting to feel better.

And for those who are wondering, I will not mind hospital visits just not when I’m in labor. After the baby is born, feel free to visit. I plan to have the baby in the room with me the whole time, so don’t think you can just sneak in to see the baby in the nursery 🙂

Belly Watch: 35 weeks along

Only 5 weeks to go. I hope that it will go quickly…the five weeks and the labor. No 18 hour labor this time (cross your fingers).

We’re getting pretty excited to meet this new member of our family. We’ve been fielding a lot of questions about the gender lately. Mostly, people are supportive of my decision not to find out the gender.

After my dream last night, my only inkling of what “it will be” is…. a cat. Seriously, I had a very disturbing dream last night that I gave birth to an adult cat. I remember vividly, the doctor handing me this…cat. I remember the dissapointment on my face and the confusion on my face. And the cat looked like my childhood cat, Bentley. It was an orange adult cat.

Gives me shudders just to think about it now. It seemed so real. I can remember, when my senses finally returned to me, how relieved I was that I was still pregnant with a human child 🙂

So there you have it. My creepy dream and a lovely picture of me 35 weeks pregnant.

We just barely got a picture of Raleigh too!

The other day a female coworker asked me how many days I had left. DAYS! I wanted to say, “Lady, I’m not even counting in days yet, I have a whole month and a half left.” But I didn’t. I was polite.

More and more people keep asking me when I’m due or similar questions to the one mentioned above. I just imagine people thinking to themselves, “geez, when is she going to pop? She’s huge.”

I want to say to people, “I’m not a tall woman, there’s no room for the baby to grow upward…so instead it must grow out, which is probably why you look at me like I should be due tomorrow.”
Anyway, enjoy the pics.

I hesitate to post this photo because it is definitely not the most fla

ttering. I mean, what is that white thing on my tummy 🙂

Only 15 weeks left. I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy is going. Just last week, I felt like my belly finally popped out.

No, I haven’t forgotten that I’m pregnant. How can I? Now that most people recognize that I am pregnant, it’s hard to forget. 🙂

People at work are actually feel safe enough to ask me if I’m expecting. Here’s a belly pic to feed the curious.

Finally, an updated belly pic. Please ignore my hair, I didn’t care to fix it before I took the picture and I look like an old school marm. 🙂
